This is a training for Illinois Licensed Plumbers and Water Operators interested in becoming certified to test backflow equipment in the State of Illinois.
Training is 6 evenings and starts Tuesday 8/20 from 5pm - 9pm. Wednesday and Thursday have similar schedule on the first week. The second week we run Monday through Wednesday, 5pm - 9pm. Thursday 8/29, students will be given the written and hands on testing at 5pm and test will conclude at or before 8pm.
All materials, tools and test gauges are provided by instructor. Please bring notebook, highlighter and pen/pencil.
Training will be held at Plumbers Local 101 in Belleville, IL. This training is open to all union and non-union plumbers that hold a current Illinois or City of Chicago Plumbing License.
Training is also open to all Illinois Certified Water Operators (please note that Water Operators can only test backflows at their facility, well house or booster station per IEPA code)
Plumbers will earn 8 Hours of CEUs from IDPH and Water Operators will earn 24 Hours of CEUs from IEPA for attending this training. Both can be used for renewal of their respective Illinois state licenses.
